On Sunday, August 12th Bob woke with what seemed like stroke symptoms. He was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital and his condition was competently diagnosed as a blood clot that needed to be addressed as soon as possible. He was flown by helicopter to Avera St. Luke's in Aberdeen and was quickly taken to a procedure room to remove the clot. The doctors assessed the presence of an additional area of concern and felt that he should be flown air ambulance to United Hospital in St. Paul where they specialize in stroke interventions.

He is currently being assessed daily through CT scans and MRI's and remains in ICU. Challenges have been brain swelling and oxygen and blood pressure readings as staff closely monitor his condition. He has been labeled as stable throughout his first week in MN.

Bob and Cheri are grateful to the wonderful first responders in the Revillo community who quickly arrived on the scene, and amazing Avera doctors nurses staff and flight personnel for their remarkable response.
