Welcome to our Caring Bridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your prayers, support, love and words of hope and encouragement.
Bob was diagnosed with a golf ball sized tumor in his brain on Monday November 28, 2016.  A church wide email came through from Pastor Chuck at Cornerstone Church of Christ. Later on that day Bob's wife Connie texted the ladies prayer group to confirm the news and to say that Bob was being sent by ambulance to Mercy where he would see a neurosurgeon.  On Tuesday November 29 Bob saw the neurosurgeon.  Bob's tumor was not operable because it was too deep and was on both sides of his brain.  A biopsy was scheduled for the next day.  There was a 5% chance of major bleeding during the biopsy that could cause severe complications but praise God Bob made it through.  On December 2 an email came through the church wide email.  It was from Bob's wife connie.  These are her exact words, "Bob has been diagnosed with glioblastoma stage 4. His prognosis is appx 6 months. We are trying to have him transferred to Mary Greeley in Ames for a few days of inpatient PT. Then he will be coming home. He will go for radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks in Ames. Then 6 months of chemo 5 days a month".  As of today December 6 Bob was able to come home!  Thank you for visiting Bob's Caring Bridge website.  Make sure you leave him a message.
