Welcome to our CaringBridge website.  So many people  have me to keep them updated that we have decided to use this website.  We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Bob’s journey began 5 years ago with his diagnosis of dilated cardiomyopathy.  Scar tissue around his heart was causing frequent palpitations and the start of heart failure.  Fast forward to to July 16, 2020.  Bob suffered a severe ventricular tachycardia.  His heart was racing well over 200 beats a minute.   The next day, they implanted a pacemaker/defibrillator.  This ICD was placed to help keep his heart from racing.   Unfortunately, it had has saved him many times already.  The defibrillator (basically a personal AED) has gone off about a dozen times and the pacemaker is now pacing him 100% of the time to prevent the v-tacks from continuing.  We have made numerous trips to the ER and doctor visits. He is on some very potent meds, causing unpleasant side effects.  He had 3 ablations (they try to locate the nerve endings that are causing the vtack and burn them) in 6 weeks.  His heart is loaded with scar tissue and operating at 15-20% capacity.  He has become a strong candidate for a heart transplant. After many, many tests he was approved for the transplant and put on the waiting list May 7, 2021..
