Bob Hoeg

While awaiting right knee replacement surgery, Bob had a stroke at home.  He was airlifted to Rochester and admitted to ICU at St. Mary's.  Here it was discovered that there is an infection on the aortic and mitral valves of the heart.  A piece of the infection broke off and caused the brain bleed.  He will need heart surgery to replace the valves but want to fight the infection with antibiotics four to six weeks.  In the meantime he is getting rehab therapy and regaining use of the right arm and leg in Domitilla.  He will eventually  move to a rehab  unit for more therapy.
