Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.  Here's what happened: On January 31st, Bob fell and hit his head.  We called 911 and the ambulance came quickly.  He was rushed to Parrish Hospital in Titusville.  He was in a very agitated state at that time--just wanted to go home.  They did a CAT scan and found a brain bleed.  He was airlifted to Holmes Regional Hospital in Melbourne, Florida.  He was in surgery early the next morning.  Dr. Theodotou, the surgeon, came to tell me that he had saved Bob's life. He was in intensive care unit (ICU) for 19 days.  This last Friday, he was moved to the critical care unit across the hall.  This is wonderful, as it means people can come to visit and we can have a cell phone in the room, as well as a TV. The first day I turned on the car races for Bob to watch!  The next step is to make sure he is not on the ventilator and this means he can be transferred to a rehab for an aneurism care.  The best one in Florida is Brooks Rehab in Jacksonville, Florida.  Say your prayers that Bob continues his journey upward from now until he can get a recommendation to Brooks!
