Over the last year Bob has been dealing with a lot. He began to have headaches, throat pain and fatigue. His pain led to him not being able/wanting to eat much and resulted in a loss of 50 pounds over the last year! We went through many different diagnosis's...nerve issues, eagle syndrome, etc. He had surgery for the eagle syndrome at the end of August and things started to look up. But by November the pain and headaches were back. In early January his doctor recomended another MRI, where they found a mass at the base of his tongue. A biopsy was done and it was confirmed that he has oral cancer (on the base of his tongue) caused by HPV (human papilloma virus).
