Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement

Bobby went to Sanford for the cardiac and vascular screening early September. Some of these results landed him an office visit with a cardiologist (Dr Haldis) who ordered an echocardiogram which was done the next day and an angiogram which was the next week.  He went to his Echo and was told that he should not go to the gym or do any stenuous activity and that cardiology would be calling him that day! We never got a call that day/night and Bobby called Dr  Haldis’ office the next morning and that is when  he was told he had 2 congenital heart defects (he was born with them).  A bicuspid aortic valve and coarctation of the aorta.

Bicuspid aortic valve means his valve has 2 Leeds instead of three which makes it leaky. Coarctation of the aorta is where to aorta narrows results in restricted blood flow to his lower extremities.

Bobby has been referred to Mayo for this surgery.

Please don’t post anything on social media!

We feel this is the best way to keep you all updated on things!

We appreciate your thoughts and prayers during this time!
