On Tuesday morning, Dad went out to walk the dog, slipped on some ice, fell backward and hit his head. On Wednesday they took him into surgery to relieve pressure on his brain due to bleeding.
The surgery went well. As of Saturday, he's stable but still in ICU. He's under heavy sedation. This morning he had a second CT scan and we're waiting on the results. If the bleeding has stopped, they will try to remove the ventilator.
Preliminary results for his breathing are showing that he can breathe on his own.
He's actively moving his left limbs. He's also moving his right leg, just not as much.
