In July 2020, Bobbi began experiencing a rapidly changing medical situation. At her annual physical in early July, her gifted primary care physican ordered blood work to compare year to year health markers. Based on the results, a CAT Scan and a biopsy were ordered to confirm a diagnosis. She was referred to South Carolina Oncology Associates for treatment of stage 4 pancreatic cancer and will begin chemotherapy treatment in early August.
The navigation process has been complicated by Covid-19,
As a family, we've taken stringent precautions to ensure Bobbi and her regular team of caregivers aren’t exposed to the virus. We appreciate your understanding about there being no in-house visitation. Her porch is available for socially distanced and masked visits. We invite you to use the Caring bridge for updates, meal train opportunities, share photos and videos, send thoughts and prayers, assess what the current needs are, and to know how we are planning for the coming weeks. We'll make sure Bobbi gets all of the messages you send .Our hope with this forum is that it allows us to hold one another up through this journey and in Bobbi's words, "take turns beating on the gates of heaven".
