Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. As you may have heard my mom (this is Tricia typing) was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Within one month she went from having some slight abdominal pain to now sitting in waiting rooms in Houston at a world renown cancer facility. There is a ton of information coming in right now so I traveled with to be an extra set of ears. The whole situation is quite overwhelming to my parents so I am learning to take notes and ask very specific questions to help advocate for my mom. Sometimes it may be Teri that updates this site as we are sharing the opportunity to travel with my parents down here for appointments. There is no cure for this type of cancer, only hopes of remission. Remissions can last anywhere from 5-20 years. My mom has a great chance at remission, her doctor put her chances at about 80%. We are extremely blessed to have been able to get in to see this doctor he is very knowledgeable and kind. His nursing staff was very patient and informative with the road ahead. I (or Teri) will update the site as soon as we can and as often as we are able. We serve a great and powerful God who is capable of great and mighty things. We are asking only for prayers from everyone at this time.
