Blake was diagnosed 3 weeks ago with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The mass under his chin was removed and the cancer was found. It is in his throat, armpit and groin. He is being treated at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. As of now, he is on a 21 day cycle of Chemo. He is doing very well with this treatment (only a few side effects as of now).

After his December treatments, he will undergo another PET scan to see if the chemo has shrunk the cancer. If it has, he will continue the treatments for 4-6 months. If it doesn't, then they will add radiation to try and destroy the cells.

He is unable to attend school for the rest of this school year and sports right now is out of the question. This news really upset him. I keep telling him that the goal is to get him all better and then we will do whatever he wants.

He has very high spirits and we will get through this.

We would like to thank everyone who has called, sent a card, sent a text or somehow let us know that they are thinking of us. It really means a lot. I will try to keep everyone posted on what is going on with Blake through here so that everyone is updated at much as possible. Blake will also leave some messages on here so be on the lookout!! lol
