Hello everyone,
As many of. You know, Bigit experienced a hemoragic stroke on her way to Rockford, Illinois with roland to visit Roland's sister and brother -law. She was med-flight end to UW hospital in Madison, where she was in th expert car of doctors, nurses and speech, physical and occupational therapists. Their daughter, son- in-law and son flew out to b with her, and,M of course Roland was there the entire time. Initially sh couldn't make any sounds, nor could she move he right side. Three weks later, she makes sounds and forms a few words, easy, sits up and is able to stand with assistance and using her strong left side. She can write letters a it with her left hand, hug,M hold hands and smile. Slow but steady progress.
She was transferred to Hayward Health Solutions, 10775 Nyman Ave, Hayward, WI 54843; 715-634-2202, where she will be in accelerated rehabilitation until she is strong enough and mobile enough to live at home.
Please use this caring bridge site to send her messages, and let folks know when you can visit her. Over the next week I will work with Roland to figure out the optimal times to visit.
