Bill was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma 6 years ago and has been successfully living with it while using treatment in a variety of ways. Up until a couple short months ago, Bill has been able to manage his symptoms and side effects relatively well. Although limited, he has been living his best life. In October, signs of liver failure began cropping up and his prognosis took a turn. After several attempts to determine exactly what was causing the pain and fatigue he was ultimately hospitalized last week with a tumor blocking the bile duct to his liver. A biliary drain was placed in his abdomen to bypass the blockage and drain the built-up bile. He is now home and has entered hospice as of Monday.

His wonderful doctors are working together to help him transition when he his body is ready. In the meantime, he is enjoying walking down memory lane and reminiscing over the wonderful life he has lead.
