Hello everyone. This is a journal of Billy's journey. On May 28th Billy was transported to ER via ambulance. He was admitted to Mary Washington in Fredricksburg VA. He had fluid on his left lung. Drainage tube was inserted to drain the fluid. Fluid was sent to be tested and showed Stage IV left lung cancer. Billy was able to come home on the 16th. He was readmitted on June 20th. He was transferred to 4th floor and was moved to ICU the next day for respiratory distress. Presently he is on a BiPap but on occasion has tolerated a nasal cannula with high level of oxygen. Billy has moments of confusion but that seems to be improving. Oncologist visit this morning to discuss options which are Chemo or Hospice. He is very weak but is going to start chemo with immunotherapy. Billy will be receiving chemo in the hospital. Due to the high concentration of oxygen needed he is unable to come home. 😓 Billy is a fighter. We ask for prayers regarding ability to handle chemo; better breathing ability and comfort from pain. Please include me in your prayers for strength and comfort. I will try my best to give updates.
