Our good friend Bill Walpole suffered a stroke on Friday 2/24, and left us on Tuesday 2/28. The demonstration of love, care, and support from his family and many friends during this time has been of genuine comfort against the sadness and loss we are all feeling. Bill's memory, spirit, and legacy will live on with all of us. Join us for a musical celebration of Bill's life and music on Saturday March 11 at the Comet Grill in Charlotte. The bands and circle of musical friends of which Bill was a key and vital part will be on hand to remember and celebrate our irreplaceable friend and musical pardner. Ramble on Country Bill. Previous Entry: Our good friend Bill Walpole suffered an apparent stroke on Friday 2/24, and is receiving care at Presbyterian Medical Center. He is currently in serious condition and undergoing tests to determine the cause and extent of injury. Bill's ex, Marysia, and his sister Marsha are in touch, and acting as point of contact with the hospital. Bill is likely to be in ICU for a considerable period of time. Bill's friends can use this site to share information, find out what we can do to help when the time comes, and most importantly stay in touch to share good wishes and prayers.
