On September 30th, Bill was in a serious car accident coming home from work, on his way to pick up our granddaughter Ella.   Bill suffered a severe spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the neck down. Because of the paralysis,  Bill is unable to breath on his own and is dependent on a ventilator.   After 19 days in Intensive Care at Hennepin County Medical Center, Bill was transferred to Bethesda Hospital in St Paul to begin rehab.
