Welcome to our CaringBridge website.  We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

Below is an overview of Bill's status, see Journal entries for updates.

In the early part of May 2018, Bill noticed that his energy was diminishing on an almost daily basis.   Later in the month he went to a Walk-in clinic and tests showed he had a low red blood cells count with concerns of internal bleeding.

On March 22 he was admitted to Nantucket Cottage Hospital.  Over the next few days he received some blood and had a colonoscopy and CT scan.  The tests showed he had a mass on his colon, and possibly spots on his lungs.   He was discharged from the hospital on March 24th.  The biopsy results later confirmed it was a mild form of colon cancer and the spots on his lungs were probably not cancer.

On July 25th he was admitted to Cape Cod Hospital for a scheduled surgery which went well.

On July 28th he was discharged and headed home.

Current location: At home and recovering from his surgery.
