On Tuesday, February  24, 2021 Bill had an diabetic emergency while driving on the interstate.  He lost the ability to focus  or move his arms and veered off the road into the woods.  He was admitted into Johnson City Medical Center ICU with a broken neck (C1 and 2 vertebrae), a  concussion, 3 broken ribs, a  bruised lung, a bruised femur, lots of stitches and bruises.  He has been awake and coherent the entire stay in ICU.  He is not paralyzed, but has a long recovery ahead of him.  We are well aware of the severity of his neck injuries and are currently working with the doctors to decide what is best for him.

We know God has a plan for Bill.  The doctor told us it is a miracle he survived the wreck; in most cases 99 out of a  100 people would not have survived this injury and the other one would be paralyzed.  God spared Bill and we are so very grateful.

Bill has a firm foundation in faith and trust in God and he is fighter.  He is determined to recover.  He has been wowing the doctors and nurses with his fortitude and positive mental attitude.  He is a supportive father, amazing grandfather and compassionate friend to so many.  We welcome all prayers and well wishes.  It is these positive affirmations that are keeping him motivated to push through the difficult times ahead.
