Bill Lathrop

As many of you all are aware now, Bill, or as I will probably refer to him most often as grandpa, has been declining in health. For the last two years my mother and her brother and sister have been round the clock providing care for him to try and keep him home. This past summer he had become more weak, his mind slowly becoming more confused with increased sundowners. As of the last month, they all knew that decisions were going to have to be made. And last week, grandpa became increasingly confused, agitated and his heart rate was in the 200's so he was sent to the hospital.  He is stable now and is currently in a Senior Behavior unit where he will be evaluated by physical therapy and a doctors.  There is a team of several social workers and case managers that will help with options on the next step for him and our family. So as grandpa continues his transition of his Alzheimer's and our families transition of his care, mom and I thought it would be better to update you all in one location on him. We just continue to ask for prayers during this time.  Thanks.
