As many of you know, Bill was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis - a rare form of bone marrow cancer.  Tomorrow, October 26, Bill will be admitted to Stanford for the next month.  He will undergo an intense round of chemotherapy and will then receive a stem cell transplant, thanks to his sister being a match.   Once released from Stanford, Bill will need to live 30 minutes from Stanford and have 24 hour a day care.

As you can imagine, Kerri will need all the support that we can give.  Bill will be unable to work for at least 3-4 months.  Kerri started a new job in February and does not have much paid time off, and she will have to take a significant amount of time off work or a leave of absence to help care for Bill.   Kerri will be commuting from El Cerrito to the peninsula to see and help care for Bill, managing her household in El Cerrito, and continuing to keep up with and participate in Leah's school activities.
