Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

Billie was recently diagnosed with uterine cancer in January 2020. The doctors quickly scheduled surgery in the hope that a hysterectomy would be the only step required. The doctors determined that the cancer had spread too far for the surgery to be effective at this time. Chemotherapy would be the first step in hopes that the tumors will shrink and allow for the surgery to be effective.

Billie has shown herself to be strong in the Lord through this process and is very thankful for the love and care coming from so many. She knows she can’t thank everyone individually so please accept her thanks here. Please continue to pray to our Great God and Father who is faithful and able.

Billie, her husband Norm and their therapy cat Willow have moved in with Cari and Keith in La Quinta, CA. Cari is Billie’s first daughter. Billie’s second daughter, Christy, lives near San Diego and joins periodically to help. Billie’s son, Thomas, lives near Seattle and comes down to help too.

While the cancer is new, for the last 5 years, the reality of dementia has become more and more prevalent for Norm and Billie has been his primary caregiver. The family is working on adding home care to allow Cari and Keith to continue their important jobs as they amazingly take on the day to day care of mom and dad.

The Prayers:
- Healing! The chemo works.
- Mom’s strength and continued faith to believe.
- Dad’s dementia to not advance.
- Cari and Keith in their jobs and primary caregiving roles to have the strength day by day.
- The whole family to come together in love and peace to support mom and dad in the journey.
