Diagnosis:  Bill has been diagnosed with squamous cell cancer of the tongue with some regional spread to a few nodes in his neck. 

Treatments: In February 2017, Bill had surgery to remove nearly all the tumor on his tongue and lymph nodes in his neck; however, there is still “microscopic” disease left behind. 

It is now imperative to treat Bill more aggressively with regional treatment of radiation therapy (RT) and systemic chemotherapy to eliminate any remaining cells. 

These two treatments will take place concurrently over the course of approximately 7 weeks in an out-patient setting.  As of today(3/9/17), Bill’s treatments are scheduled to begin on March 20.
