Bill and Kim both tested positive for Covid last Friday, July 2nd. Kim is on her way to recovery and seems to be doing better every day. Bill is not faring as well. He was admitted to the hospital yesterday morning due to low oxygen levels. He was placed on oxygen and given IV fluids. They are giving him inhaler treatments to help open his lungs. Chest x-ray was typical for what they see in Covid lungs with some possible pneumonia. They plan on keeping him for 5 days for anti-viral treatment along with donated plasma with antibodies.
After Kim spoke with him this morning, she says he feels ok, just tired. They are moving him to the PCU (Progressive Care Unit is a hospital unit that specializes in treating medical and surgical patients whose needs are not serious enough for the Intensive Care Unit but too complex for the regular hospital floor.) to keep a closer watch on his oxygen.
