Hello everyone. Thank you for visiting. Our goal with caringbridge is to create a space for updates and centralized communication. We want to be sure to update everyone as we learn more and help take some things off his plate.

A brief time line of events: Bill was recently diagnosed with IPF. This is a fast acting lung complication. On February 11th he was admitted to Regions Hospital for air hunger and weakness. After 2 weeks of care he was transferred to the U of M hospital in Minneapolis. Since then, he has gone through many tests and a lot of attention from Doctors.

As of Feb 28th we have been updated with their findings. The road ahead will be slow, deliberate and cautiously optimistic. Based on many factors he will have a long road ahead that will be difficult and quite dangerous. He has a positive attitude and a willingness to fight. The unfortunate reality is that his lungs don't seem to have much time to improve. Our focus is day to day and very small steps.

Communication and visitation: Now that Bill has completed the evaluation stage he can begin to center himself.  We will know on March 1st what room he will stay in and what visiting hours will be. He does have his cell phones but it can be very taxing for him to return messages. His daughter Tori and son Alek will help Bill streamline visits now that everything has settled a bit.

Thank you so much for taking a moment to read his story. It is as important to us as it is to you that your feelings are being delivered to Bill.  We are here to answer any questions you may have and we look forward to ensuring folks get the time they want to see him.

Please use Caringbridge or any communication method that you are most comfortable with to pass along your thoughts and wishes.
