SO chronologically speaking, how did we get today's (11.11.2019) biopsy results, "CANCER OF THE RIGHT THYROID".

Sunday, May 26, 2019...
I injure my back picking up after my 80 pound Black Lab.  Not picking up my 80 pound Black Lab, picking up her "lawn deposit".  MRI proves herniated L5~S1 disc, a couple of smaller bulges at L3~L4 and L4~L5, and no surgery needed.

Sunday, September 22, 2019...
After a weekend of prepping for the licensing of Just Like Home Family Childcare, now a licensed home daycare co-owned by Aimee Jo Martinek and DiAnne Ayshford, I sit down to ice my back.  20 minutes later, there is no feeling in my right foot.  A common occurrence since the May injury, this time it is so severe, that I need crutches to make it to the ER.  A fine drug cocktail reduces the swelling and pressure to allow me to WALK out of the ER with the following recommendations:  1...Get a second MRI and 2...Follow up with my primary and a neurosurgeon.  My primary orders the second MRI.  The second MRI brings the following results:   A...My neurosurgeon again recommends against surgery and B...my primary is contacted because a mass is indicated on my right thyroid.

Thursday, October 10...
Primary doctor meets to order an ultrasound of my right thyroid.

Friday, October 25...
Ultrasound indicates a 3.1cm long by not quite 3.0cm wide OVAL mass on my right thyroid.  A biopsy is recommended.

Friday, November 08...
Biopsy at 9am.  There are actually 2 masses; one smaller mass on top of the one larger mass.  Not quite numbed enough, the needles pinch going in and out during the 3 biopsy spots of the smaller mass.  For the larger mass, it is not as easy.  The mass has calcified and the extraction is NOT as easy.  The bad news, I am told, is the calcification usually indicates cancer.  The good news, I am told, is that IF it is cancer, thyroid is the easiest cancer to cure and should be my first choice of cancers.  My reaction is that I would rather have Ovarian Cancer like my daughter.  Who knew that I did not have the right parts for that cancer?!?!?!?  The biopsy results would take 7 to 10 business days.

Monday, November 11...
130pm.  I am just leaving Just Like Home Family Child Care when the phone rings.  It is a number that I recognize; that of my primary doc.  It is the news that I expected to hear.  "We believe it is Cancer"; "You need to see an ENT specialist"; "I am so sorry to tell you this"...about all I remember.
