Our Story Life was good. We were crazy kids, living our best lives. Sure there was headaches and heart aches but we felt on top of the world. Then, things got harder.
I knew in my heart that something wasn’t right and on a Tuesday at 8:02am I was diagnosed with stage 2 uterine cancer. Even though I knew something was wrong, we were still shocked. There was no way! But, it’s true and on Monday, February 10th, I will have a complete hysterectomy.
Bill being the guy he is (and he’s a good one) suggested we get married. We were engaged and his health insurance is way better - so on November 12th (my birthday!) we went to the courthouse and made it official. ❤️ Finally after 45 years of being high school sweethearts and friends - we did it!
Part 2: Sue notices that Bills face is droopy and he’s drooling - I think he’s drooling over me??? Lol but no, I knew something was very wrong. Insisting that Bill check it out, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. On Tuesday, February 4th, Bill underwent brain surgery to remove the tumor and he is now the proud owner of a badass looking scar.
SO now we both have cancer. How does this horrible coincidence happen? But, we have very different kinds of cancer. Both suck. #fuckcancer
