Several years ago, Bill was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy i.e. an enlarged heart. (You can find out more about an enlarged heart here -

The most recent echocardiogram showed a significant worsening of the condition. This is causing an increase in fatigue and shortness of breath. Bill's cardiologist has recommended a surgery to decrease the size of the left ventricle that is obstructing the blood outflow to the aorta.
The Mayo clinic in Rochester, Minnesota is known for this surgical procedure. Bill and Gay will leave for Minnesota on Sunday, October 22, 2017. Bill's testing begins on Monday, October 23, 2017 and will likely undergo surgery on Friday, October 27, 2017
