Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.   We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers and praise God for his hand in Bill's healing.

Bill had bad seizures on April 29, 2019 about midnight, and went to St Mary's in Rochester MN via ambulance.  At first thought they thought it was a stroke. After many tests, they discovered a spot 1.3cm size on edge of his brain, and it was determined to be either a tumor or abscess.  Not until brain surgery on May 2 when they went in and removed it that we rejoiced it was an abscess and not a tumor, and they removed it all and are now treating Bill with antibiotics.

As of May 7, we are still in the hospital as the medical team works on identifying the bacteria for the right antibiotic treatment.  Outlook is possibly to get out the week of May 7th yet to go to Iowa.  Also as a result of the seizures, Bill bit on his tongue and it swelled up and taking a long time to heal, so that is also a concern to get back to being able to eat food - good progress continuing there.

Update on May 12 - Bill was discharged on May 8 and we spent overnight in our Apartment in Rochester and on Thur, May 9 came to our place in Iowa and recovering there.
