David Baber Big Daddy Smooove vs AML

David has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).  We will use this page to keep all of our friends and family up to date on his progress so we can concentrate on the fight ahead of us and getting him healthy again.  He is ready for the fight.  Everyone has offered to help in any way we need but right now there is nothing any of us can do except pray so please continue to keep him in your prayers.   This is made even more complicated by COVID-19.  While undergoing chemotherapy and for some time afterwards David's immune system will be compromised and all germs, not just COVID, will be a threat to his health so I will be limiting his exposure as much as possible.  I know this is difficult and you all want to see him and help but the biggest help you can be is to allow him to fight this and keep him safe by not exposing him to anything.   This will be an evolving process and we will abide by any and all restrictions recommended by his Oncologist, possibly even more strict if we feel the need.  Please respect these restrictions as they are not meant to keep anyone away or refuse to let anyone help, they are simply to keep David safe and give him the best possible odds of beating AML.
