Cancer….such a tough word to hear when it includes the name of your loved one. That’s the word I heard from my mom on July 8th, 2016. My mom, Bev, fell on July 7th and when she was picked up they heard a “crack”. I’m thinking that fall might have saved my moms life….You know the old saying “Blessings in Disguise”? That fall was her blessing. She found out that day her clavical was broken and the x-ray was sent to an orthopedic surgeon. That surgeon called her Friday and asked her to come in to discuss the x-ray. That’s when she was told it was bone cancer. Multiple Myeloma, IgG Kappa to be specific. Mom really has a great attitude! She has a lot of faith in her oncologist which is backed by God! Nerves, anxiety and questioning the unknown are in the background. She is just going to do what needs to be done. I know mom will have a very tough road ahead of her. The has a great immediate family support system! I can’t express the gratitude I have for her “extended” family which includes close friends, childhood friends and of course her church family. Please keep mom in your prayers….I’m thinking this is where her inner peace is coming from. Isaiah 41:10 – So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
