Mom started feeling weak and without appetite this summer, and as the weeks went by and doctor visits racked up, evidence pointed to a problem with her blood. Thursday, October 12, mom and dad got confirmation that she's dealing with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. Her primary doctor just happens to be the same oncologist who was her primary doctor treating the breast cancer she had just a few years ago ... and Dr. Hei specializes in hematology - exactly what mom needs. (Thank you, Lord!)
Anyone who knows mom knows she's a fighter - more inclined to help others than to focus on herself. Please join us in rallying around her in love and support. And let's not forget those back home on the farm who will continue to keep things running.
