Bev was diagnosed with CML Cronic Myeloid Lukiemia Dec . 2014. We have seen Oncologists in Las Cruces,Albuquerque,MD Anderson in Gilbert Arizona , Mayo Clinic Jacksonville Fl and Mayo Clinic Phoenix Arizona.  In all of those places the Doctors said that they have not seen a patient like Bev because of her intolerance to the oral chemo meds.  She tried all five of the meds available and was not able to tolerate any of them. The Meds destroyed the cancer and her good cells. They are designed to not take out her good cells. We are left with the last option which is the Stem Cell transplant. She has a 100% match donor that lives in Germany. They will extract the donors stem cells and hand carry them to Phoenix. Bev will be given an amount of chemo drugs to take out all of her cells.. Then the donors cells are infused. She will then have the donors DNA . That is one reason they refer to the transplant day as her birthday. Her doctor said to us that older patients due better than younger ones because their organs have passed the tests. Bev is strong and has a great attitude about the procedure. We are confident that she is in the best facility she can be in . She will have a very experienced team of Doctors and Nurses.   We pray that God will be with all of her health care providers and with her to get through this arduous time.
