Throughout the summer of 2017 Bev was having some bloating and tenderness in her lower abdomen. It didn’t really bother her (other than her pants started getting a little tighter) and she knew that she had her annual exam coming up at the end of August. At the annual exam she mentioned the slight pain and bloating to her doctor. He recommended that she have an ultrasound as he didn’t feel anything that could be causing her discomfort.

On September 21, 2017 she went in for her ultrasound. While there they saw that her uterus was enlarged which typically only happens during pregnancy. Her doctor decided to take a biopsy to see what could be causing the enlargement. The biopsy was performed on September 25, 2017.  While the biopsy was performed the doctor discovered a lot of additional fluid in the uterus that isn’t common. She was in a lot of pain during the procedure and felt pretty sick for a while after.

The doctor called on September 27, 2017 and confirmed our worst fear; Bev was diagnosed with uterine cancer. It has come as a shock to those that love and know her.

We want to use this site to stay connected with family and friends to keep everyone updated as we go through this process. Bev has a consultation with her oncologist on October 3, 2017 and we will provide additional information at that time.

For now the thing that she needs the most is prayer. Pray for her to heal, for her to stay strong and for God to provide the doctors with knowledge on the best treatment plan for her.
