Here is Mom's story....on Friday evening October 20th Mom fell in their neighborhood...we are still unclear as to what happened. Mom had gone over to take care of her neighbor Doris's cat, and bring the mail in for Doris and another neighbor. Dad received a knock on the door from their neighbor across the street Stacie, who was looking for Mom as her friend Todd had seen someone laying in the street. As it turns out Mom was the someone laying in the street. She had fallen and hit her head on the street, 911 was called and Mom was taken to the hospital via helicopter...as she was bleeding and unresponsive. We spent the next 24hrs in the Trauma ICU unit waiting for Mom to stabilize and find out the extent of her injuries. She has a traumatic brain injury with bleeding on the brain (which has not gotten worse with every ct scan), we were afraid she may have had a stroke or heart attack which caused the fall...no sign of either. She has no other injuries, just the trauma to the brain. The doctor's say it could be 6 months to a year before we know the extent of any deficiencies. That is the story....
