On Wednesday, March 22, Betsy suffered a major brain aneurysm. She was taken to St Joseph’s Hospital, and subsequently transferred to the University of Maryland Hospital Shock Trauma unit in Baltimore. Her initial condition was complete unconsciousness with little response to stimuli. But believing in a sovereign God whom she love’s and who loves her, Betsy is surrounded by immediate and extended family who are praying for a full recovery. The doctors have said that Betsy will be in the Shock Trauma unit for at least three weeks, and her progress will dictate steps beyond that. We will keep you posted at this site as events unfold. In the meantime, here is what the family needs:
1. Prayer We believe that God can fully heal Betsy. We ask that you join us in praying that God in His grace would give Betsy a full recovery.
2. Friendship The road to recovery may be long, and we ask that you continue to support Betsy’s husband John and their children, John Bobby and Beth with your love and friendship as they continue to trust God through this time.
3. Visiting Betsy is not able to support visitors at this time.
