I wanted a place for my family and friends to go to and receive updates on my upcoming treatment and overall journey.
My story is just beginning as I only found out last week that I was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma (intrahepatic bile duct cancer). It's been a whirl wind experience the past week as I received the diagnosis Friday (10/27), had surgery on Tuesday morning (11/1) to install a port to receive the chemotherapy treatment that will begin on Monday (11/7). Overall I am digesting the news and feel confident and very hopeful for the tumor on my liver to shrink so they can preform surgery.
After a summer of exhaustion (and a few extra afternoon siesta's - but when your house is the international B&B for friends and family a few extra siesta' would seem perfectly normal). But then my cough began which eventually was the road that led to this diagnosis, as my doctors were concerned my asthma was getting worse which led to further testing that led to my diagnosis.
I'm very thankful for my family and friends, please keep me in your prayers as I trust God will answer them.
