At the end of February, Beth was diagnosed with "non small-cell lung cancer" (Adenocarcinoma). After numerous tests and scans, it was confirmed that it has metastasized to her brain.

She is currently undergoing 10 radiation treatments to kill the cancer cells. After the 10  treatments, she will get a scan to see if it has been reduced. By the time that is done, she will also have the results of a biopsy  that will determine the cancer markers which will provide the necessary information to prescribe a chemo protocol. If we are lucky, (if there is lucky in cancer) she will be eligible for a chemo pill that has been proven to work very well. If not, she will be going to NIH and/or Johns Hopkins for the next step-a clinical trial, if she is accepted.

In the meantime, she is doing okay.  She gets winded and tires very easily.

Beth has been a real rock star and is planning on kicking this cancer in the butt!
