Welcome to Beth's Caring Bridge website. It is being used to keep family and friends updated in one place.

How do you begin a story when you never thought this would be the story you'd be telling?  Beth had not been feeling well starting in late summer.  On Oct. 5, 2018, she was diagnosed with breast cancer.  On Oct 11th, Beth had a PET scan which showed Stage 4 Breast Cancer that had moved to her left femur, pelvis, spine and ribs.  She is utilizing the Oncology team at Piper Breast Center (Allina Health) and will be receiving further healing at Sanoviv Medical Institute in Rosarito, Mexico.

Beth is a graduate of Waconia High School, class of 1990.  She then went on to receive extensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, earning her Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University.  Beth started her own practice, The Eastern Healing Arts Center, located in Minnetonka.

Beth is married to John Berns, from Bangor, Wisconsin.  John is an attorney as well as a volunteer firefighter for the City of Wayzata where they also reside with their five children.  Lincoln is a freshman at Wayzata High School.  Katie and Allie attend Wayzata West Middle School (8th & 6th grades).  Charlotte and Maria attend St Bartholomew’s Catholic School (4th & 1st grades).

There has been a GoFundMe account set up  for Beth to cover lost wages and medical expenses.  Just  click on the purple “Ways To Help” icon above to  be routed directly to her GoFundMe page where a donation can be made.  There has also been an account established at the Wells Fargo location in Wayzata.  Donations can be made either by dropping off cash or a check making sure funds are allocated to The Beth Berns Healing Fund.  If you prefer to send a check by mail it can be sent to:
The Beth Berns Healing Fund
c/o Wells Fargo Bank
900 Wayzata Blvd E
Wayzata, MN  55391

It is important to note that Tribute donations go towards help Caring Bridge run their site.  The donations through GoFundMe and Wells Fargo go directly to Beth.

Your support and words of hope and encouragement are appreciated.  Please feel free to share Beth’s  page, actually it's encouraged.  Thank you for visiting.
