Hello family, friends, and Bethany lovers! On behalf of Bethany and the outpouring of support, we have started this page to keep you all involved.
In October 2015, Bethany was diagnosed with Angiosarcoma, a cancer of the inner lining of blood vessels, and it can occur in any area of the body. The disease most commonly occurs in the skin, breast, liver, spleen, and deep tissue. Her c-word was isolated to her left breast, for which she underwent surgery for its removal. On 12/15/15 a wide resection of her left breast, or a mastectomy, was successfully performed by a group of medical professionals at Mayo in Rochester. A sample of the removed t-word was sent off for testing of the c-word, per her talented Oncology group it was recommended that in addition to the surgery that Bethany receive 3 rounds of chemotherapy followed by 4-6 weeks of radiation therapy to extradite the c-word.
