We are so grateful for all the support you have given our dad all year, and especially, these past few months. For those of you who may not know, after several weeks at UCSF hospital, Bernie has a new temporary home at Pacifica Nursing and Rehab. He is one determined man and we couldn’t be more proud of him for trying to get stronger. He has more items on his to do list than most and right now hospice is not one of them! So, he and the staff, along with his very dedicated primary care doctor, are working hard to keep his heart rate down, blood pressure up, oxygen steady, and body moving. Then there’s the sarcoma cancer that he is valiantly trying to hold off. The chemo and radiation are well over and now he is relying on his fierce determination, massively positive attitude, and a whole lot of prayers!
Bernie loves visitors, as we all know he thrives on seeing family and friends. In an effort to balance the visitor schedule with his need for rest, look for a visitor sign up on the site . This will allow us to set aside some downtime each day and keep track of visits (for those of us who like to be in the know)!
