On Thursday, September 9, Bernie was in a motor vehicle accident. She sustained several injuries and was taken to HCMC. Her injuries include 8 broken ribs, a cracked sternum, a broken hand, a large cut on her left knee, and a small broken bone in her right foot. On Friday, September 10, she had surgery on her hand and put a boot on her foot. Bernie has a long road to recovery.
