Mom and Robin took Dad to the hospital Tuesday, Oct. 29th, and he was diagnosed with a blockage in the small intestine. Dad had surgery for a similar thing (colon) 13 years ago, but this time surgery was not a reasonable option. He was released to hospice care at home Friday, November 1st. Polly and I are here helping Mom and Robin with Dad’s care for about 10 days. Hospice has been very helpful and we’re grateful for their assistance. Dad is lucid and able to have brief conversations by phone. He also appreciates personal visits. Feel free to call Robin at (980) 263-0334, to pick a good time to visit or to talk to Dad by phone.
