Bennett is a happy, snuggly and sweet 5 year old boy! On March 16, 2018 he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in the center of his brain. The tumor was causing hydrocephalus (fluid build-up), so he had a procedure to try to fix that at the end of March. Our surgeon was able to biopsy the tumor and they think it is a diffuse, low-grade glioma. There is no cure for Bennett's tumor but they will be able to try to treat it when they think it is necessary, to keep it from growing quickly and causing more damage to his brain. We have a long road ahead of us, but we are hopeful that someday there will be a real cure for Bennett and other kids like him!
