Bennett is a happy, snuggly and sweet 2 1/2 year old boy! He had been having some balance issues for a while that we just attributed to "every kid develops differently", but when he developed a tremor that wouldn't go away we started to fear something bigger was happening. On Friday, March 16, we went in for an MRI of Bennett's brain and cervical spine and they found an area of abnormal tissue near his thalamus that was blocking the flow of spinal fluid and causing pressure and fluid buildup (hydrocephalus) inside his brain. He has since had an ETV procedure to correct this, and a biopsy was done to show that he has a low-grade glioma in his thalamus.
