Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep everyone up-to-date on Ben's journey in one central place.
While we were visiting Australia for Christmas 2017, our sweet 3-year-old son, Benjamin, was diagnosed with Burkitt's lymphoma. We expected to be here for a month but our stay has now been indefinitely extended. We are all staying at The Children's Hospital in Westmead, in the west of Sydney, Australia, as Ben undergoes chemotherapy treatment.
Please look at the "Journal" section for regular updates on Benji's condition and treatment. We will also use this space to share what is happening with us and our other kids as we all adjust to our family's very different new "normal."
We are so grateful for the many offers of practical help we have received. In the "Ways to Help" section of the website, we give some ideas of things you may be able to do, both here in Sydney and from elsewhere.
We treasure each note we receive but please forgive us if we're not able to respond personally to each one. We will be coming to this site regularly so please feel free to leave us messages of support here (see "Thoughts and Well Wishes" at the bottom of this page). Your words are and will continue to be an enormous blessing and encouragement to us.

Our family is committed to taking this journey together, one step at a time, and we praise God for the many people walking this journey with us. Although we are not in control, our God is. We trust completely that the Lord is working in this situation and that he cares for Benji even more than we do. The most valuable way you can help us is to continue to uphold Ben and our family in prayer. Specific prayer requests will be shared in the Journal updates.
