Welcome to Ben's Caring Bridge site. We created this site to share how God is using Ben to bring Glory to His name.
Our darling 5 year old son Benjamin was diagnosed with a very rare form kidney cancer (Diffuse Anaplastic Wilm's Tumor) on 10/1/2012 and had major surgery on 10/2/2012. Only 40 kids per year get this type of cancer. Please pray for us and complete healing for Ben as we walk this difficult road of intense therapy.
To God alone be the glory
John 9:1-3 "As [Jesus] passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him."
"Thank you Lord that you have chosen Benjamin Isaac to show your wonders. Work in his body to heal and restore. Strengthen him as he goes through major surgery to remove the cancer tumor and chemotherapy. Thank you Lord that you have provided skilled doctors with the capacity to understand and treat this type of cancer. He is in your mighty and capable hands." Amen
Ben is now more than half way through his treatment. We praise God for how well he is tolerating this very intense and rigorous chemotherapy. Overall, Ben is eating well, resting well and is a very happy and joyful little boy. He is in Kindergarten and advancing fast. He learned to read and has even finished his math book early. He loves to play and most days has plenty of energy to do so. As a family we have decided to take extra precautions to protect Ben. We are staying home and avoiding all crowds during his low count days which are most days.....God is good and is providing contentment for the family. We are growing in ways we never thought possible. We are being blessed on a daily basis by so many lovely people who do so much for us. Praying, shopping, cooking wonderful meals and sharing healthful foods with us, bringing us library books each week, sending words of encouragement through the mail, or electronically, running errands for us, watching and spending time with our children, cleaning our home, giving funds, calling, sending amazing and unique gifts to the children, caring for our animals, helping with gardening, phone calls. All these have sustained us and we are completely overwhelmed by the generosity of our Christian brothers and sisters who serve us without reserve. It is a testimony to the love of Jesus.
As a family we long for others to experience this same love and pray each day that we can be a blessing to others through whatever means we can. We love to pray for others and welcome any prayer requests. We will add them to our prayer journal and promise to pray for you!
