Rebecca ("Becky") Scheid, 14 years old, a lover of animals and music, was diagnosed on March 29, 2016 with Hepatocellular Carcinoma with an 18x12 cm tumor on her liver.
She underwent surgery on Friday, May 27, at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, and has had two additional surgeries since that date. This site has been set up by friends of Mike and Roxanne so that family and friends can be updated in one location, giving Mike and Roxanne time to focus on their daughter and their own health and well-being. The doctors reminded them that they have a "marathon, not a sprint" ahead of them. The updates will be added by friends and family throughout this journey.
