Welcome to my CaringBridge website. I am using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. 
I have begun my journey in treatment for throat cancer.  A biopsy tomorrow will determine if we start with surgery or chemo.  I looks like it is going to be a long road ahead, but the prognosis is good.  I will do my best to keep this site up to date.  Using this website allows me to provide information to many, but not to preclude personal contacts.  However, there will be days that I will not feel like communicating.
I feel that I am in good hands with my treatment team which includes a surgeon, a radiologist and an oncologist.  Mercy has a program that provides support for the many needs of a cancer patient.  To my educator friends, yes it sounds like teaching to the whole child.
