In November of 2016 Becky was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor after experiencing headaches, vision difficulty and dizziness. After many doctor appointments Becky had her first surgery to remove fluid from her brain which was causing hydrocephalus. At the time the tumor was thought to be low grade and slow growing so this was the appropriate treatment. After surgery and a stay in the hospital Becky returned home to continue to get stronger by working with out patient therapy for a few months. Becky's MRI in January was hopeful and showed little growth. Becky and Ralph prepared for a Trip to Hawaii to celebrate with family her many years of a wonderful Nursing Career. During her trip Becky started to have increased visual disturbances such as seeing double which raised concern. Upon her return she went back in for an MRI and the tumor had shown growth and doubled in size. Becky and family  met with a specialist at University Hospital in late April and Becky was a candidate for a second surgery  to attempt to remove as much of the tumor as possible. Becky had brain surgery on May 10th at University Hospital in Madison , WI with the goal being to remove as much of the tumor as possible and also to obtain a specific diagnosis so that future treatments can be offered. Becky's family, friends, co -workers have been a wonderful support to her and Ralph . Becky and Ralph and family are so appreciative of the continued support! Thank you
