I have Parkinson's disease.  Just saying it solidifies it in my brain.

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place, and appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.  In no way does this mean we don't want you to ask how we're doing - but as a friend texted me Friday:  " It was so nice to run into you today.  I didn't want to say anything because I know sometimes it's nice just to shop and run into people and not have them constantly asking how you're doing.  I simply wanted to let you know that you're constantly in our thoughts and prayers."  This whole Parkinson's thing is new, fresh, emotional and not all we want to talk about.  We care about what's happening in your life too!

The intention of this site is to report on doctor visits, information on the disease, make you aware of fund raisers that we are participating in and ways we are helping be a part of the solution to end Parkinson's.  I may as well let you know upfront that I plan to be real in my journal entries.  I've never been a beat-around-the-bush person and don't intend to start now.   There are parts of my new reality that scare me a lot!  I have complete confidence in my salvation in Jesus Christ and peace about where I will spend eternity; however, I would be a liar if i didn't acknowledge that the process scares me.  I'm sure it scares my family too.  We will need lots of prayer and support and will use this site to post specific prayer requests.  Lastly, this post is to report blessings!  I am confident in God's faithfulness and that He will use this for His glory.  What an awesome privilege to be part of His plan!
