Welcome to our Caring Bridge website.
We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.
We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Paul and I would like to invite you to join us in our journey with Breast Cancer.
I have ductal breast cancer it is termed invasive , only because the cancer has grown beyond the duct.
I had a peculiar and short lived small thickened, heavy area in both of my breasts which totally disappeared within 3 days of the onset.
When I mentioned this to Dr Al Qaseer my Family Physician, he encouraged investigation.
This  tumour is very small and was detected only by a mammogram, thank you to technologist Connie .
I am very thankful  for the keen eyes of Dr Taves the Radiologist at the Walkerton Site of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre.
I am also very Thankful for the skills of ultrasound technologist was also a Connie!
Our journey has begun. A Surgical consultation has been made with preoperative diagnostics yet to be booked.
We are looking at a busy few weeks. We will keep you posted.
Paul and I are very thankful for the early discovery of this breast cancer.
We know that with your kind and loving support we will be well bolstered for the road ahead
Please take care and remember to pay attention and act on signals that your body gives you.
Hugs Barb and Paul
